AIM ProPeas™

Protein is key to living well. The human body needs a significant amount of dietary protein in relation to vitamins and minerals. Protein helps keeps body tissue healthy. It builds up, maintains and replaces the tissues that compose our muscles, organs and immune system.

Once eaten, proteins are broken down into amino acids. Amino acids are critical to life and play an important role in metabolism. The body can only produce half of these amino acids for normal functioning. The remainder, which are called "essential amino acids," must be derived from protein-rich foods. AIM ProPeas™ contains 12 grams of pea protein per serving.

Unlike fat and carbohydrates, the body does not store all the protein it requires. This makes getting an adequate amount that much more important. AIM ProPeas™ is a natural source of protein made from field peas. Unlike whey and soy protein, pea protein is not a major allergen. It's an alternative to most animal protein sources that are high in fats and bad cholesterol.

Field peas are high in protein, but are also low-fat and high iron, select amino acids, and omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids. The peas in AIM ProPeas™ are grown in Canada, the world's largest producer of non-GMO pea crops. The pea plants require no chemical fertilizers and are processed using only water. No harsh chemicals or solvents are used in the process.

Soy and whey account for 90% of all food allergies. But the peas in AIM ProPeas™ are naturally gluten and allergen-free. Most soybeans in the U.S. are GMO and deemed unsafe in 30 countries. Soy is also high in fats and removing these fats requires the use of solvents. And, the soy carcinogen furan is also a potential risk when consuming soy proteins.

Of all children, 50% are allergic to whey (milk plasma). Whey protein contains large amounts of the amino acids cysteine and methionine which are high in sulfur and have an acidic effect on the body. These amino acids are in most ALL protein sources, but in higher ratios in animal proteins.
