AIM FloraFood®
One way to maintain digestive health is to take care of our intestinal flora
the trillians of bacteria that live in the digestive tract. There
are more bacteria in the digestive system than there are cells in the body.
They weigh about 4 lbs. (1.8 kg) the size of the liver.

Bacteria have both friendly and unfriendly populations. The effects of unfriendly bacteria include diarrhea, gas, bloating, intestinal toxicity, constipation, malabsorption of nutrients, as well as the pain and damage resulting from pathogens like E. coli and Salmonella.
In "The Encyclopedia of Nutritional Supplements" Dr. Michael Murry states that, "The intestinal floral is intimately involved in the host's nutritional status and affects the immune system function, cholesterol metabolism, carcinogenesis and aging." Our overall health is greatly affected by the balance of bacteria in our digestive system.
Friendly bacteria, also known as probiotics, refers to the healthy bacteria that naturally occur in the gut or the nutrients that support them. Although the term probiotics is relatively new, the idea of improving health by supplementing the natural flora of the gut with additional bacteria dates back to the 19th century.
AIM FloraFood® contains a special blend of three powerful friendly bacteria: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium longum. Friendly bacteria do much more than counteract unfriendly bacteria. They also provide other powerful benefits. Read "How Important is Beneficial Bacteria?"
